Description: Offering an antique H. Disston and Sons hand saw with a 1" inch "H. Disston & Sons PHILADA" medallion that dates this saw to 1877-1878. It is being sold in as-found condition. Features: Length: 30 inches long total, 26-1/2" x 6-1/2" inch blade TPI: 7Rivets: 4 Handle: D-7 "let-in" hardwood handle The saw is in great shape, and the blade is straight and it does not have much rusting. Looks to be in very good condition, but there are plenty of pictures for you to decide yourself. It would be a great saw to restore. According to the Disstonian Institute website, Disston used this style PHILADA medallion around 1878-1878 (see last few pictures for more info), and this style of saw was made from 1840-1928. Included are pictures of a typical D-7 from that era. These are my findings, but please do your own research to confirm. The Disstonian Institue is a great resource for that. And if I have anything wrong, please let me know, as I try to do my best to correctly represent what I am selling. Fast shipping...thanks for looking!
