Description: This pair of Antique Bronze or Brass Bookends depicts James Earle Fraser’s original sculpture of a Native American Indian slumped down on his defeated horse while still holding his spear. The original sculpture was created in 1894 titled “End Of The Trail”. The image on the bookends represents the Euro-Americans’ inflicting damage and pushing Native Americans out to the Pacific Ocean. The bookends approximately measure: 5.25” wide, 2.75” deep and 5” tall. They are in very good used condition and have not been cleaned or polished. Original patina. With signs of shelf wear.
