With the lid open fully, use a razor blade, or similar sharp tool to peel back the carpet around the four corners, which exposes (4) phillips head screws. 2.) Use a phillips head screwdriver to loosen all of the screw, and remove the plastic plate from the lid. 3.) Slide the new latch hook down through the hole in the plastic plate, with the hook "point" facing downward (with the lid in the fully open position). 4.) The latch should fit pretty snug, this helps keep it from jiggling. If too tight, file away the corners of the latch slightly until it fits in with a little force. 5.) Re-install the plastic plate, and tighten the (4) screws, but BE CAREFUL, the plastic will easily strip, so do not over tighten! 6.)
