Description: This is a vintage German Sternauware style Blue and White Porcelain and Metal Trivet. It is stamped "MADE IN GERMANY" on the bottom of the porcelain as well as marked "GERMANY" on the outer edge of the metal frame. The number 15 and a triangle are also imprinted on the bottom of the porcelain. It is NOT marked Sternauware. There may not have been enough metal surface to allow for the mark or it may not be by Sternauware. However, it does match the design of other pieces listed as Sternauware. This trivet measures approximately 6 inches in diameter and is approximately 1/2 inch tall. It stands on 3 Ball Feet and has a metal outer frame. Trivet is in good vintage pre-owned condition. Does show signs of wear. Surface is scratched as if a knife was used on it (cheese server?) and the metal is a bit tarnished. However, the porcelain is NOT chiped, cracked or repaired. Could use a good overall cleaning/polishing. Please review and enlarge all photos for additional details, views and measurements.
