Description: Hardy Boys #11 While the Clock Ticked 1932A-1 Rare Red Book No Dust Jacket. Both 1st Printing & 1st Edition! One of the most rare books in the Hardy Boys out there, this is the first edition and first printing of While the Clock Ticked. Starting with the 2nd printing, they were made with tan/tweed. Even in 1932 these were not the easiest to find as they started printing tan bindings later that same year. Please note that the condition of this book is acceptable and the spine has considerable damage as seen in the pictures. I will include a mylar protector when shipping the book in a box. You could probably apply some type of book glue to help keep the red binding spine more secured onto the book itself. There are some markings visible when you first open the book as seen in the pictures. The white endpaper in the front of the book along with the picture to the left of the title page is missing & must have been ripped from the book. The first or second page has a rip as seen in the attached picture. The name written on the first page bleeds over onto the other side too. After you get to the start of the book however the rest of the book looks clean and without markings except for a 50 cent sticker on the final end paper at the very end of the book. The book is almost 100 years old so handle with care. As only the first 11 books were made with a red binding, it is exceptionally difficult to find this 11th book for the series with a red binding.
