Description: Holy Bible - King James Version - Reference Edition - Words of Christ in Red This personal Bible is in very nice condition with just a little edgeware on the spine. I purchased this at an auction. It was a just a pretty sad story. A family with two boys. Both boys went to religious school. Neither of them married. One moved away the other one stayed with his parents. Both parents passed away and he still remained in the same home. Then his brother passed away and he was the only one left. He really felt there was no reason for him to live if he got sick. He had no one. He did get sick and went into the hospital and he immediately wanted to sign a DNR. He developed pneumonia and he passed away. I bought so many things there, all of their books from when they were little children. This house was full of that family's memories. After holding on to this stuff for a couple of years it might be longer than that now, I decided I have to pass some of it on. I can't keep it because of the story. The Bible does have his name embossed on the front. On The binding, words of Christ in red. This is from 1972 at least. I see he did underlying a few words in the Thessalonians. It's all done in pencil so it can be removed. I will leave that for whoever purchases this Bible. Minor shelf and handling wear, overall a clean solid copy with some wear on the binding. Red leather; gilt lettering; all edges gilt; sewn-in silk ribbon marker. Clean covers; previous owner name embossed to front cover, blank presentation page. Firm binding. An attractive copy.
