Description: MARVEL COMICS FANTASTIC FOUR'S "HUMAN TORCH" Solo Series First Appearance Marvel Cinematic Universe MCU First Appearance Key Fantastic Four (2025) MISTER FANTASTIC. THE THING. HUMAN TORCH. INVISIBLE WOMAN. Their names are "household", and as characters they are almost immediately recognized across the pop culture landscape. Considering that all four characters were created in 1961 by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby, the familiarity of the Fantastic Four and its constituent members should come as no surprise. After all, they've been around for a long time. For that reason alone, appearances of the FANTASTIC FOUR have been numerous and a mainstay across Marvel Comics' entire line of publishing since its inception. The vast majority of these appearances have been together as a team (or family) unit, and most of them have occurred within their own ongoing long-running series, Fantastic Four, as well as Fantastic Four related mini-series. However, individual appearances by the four main members of the Fantastic Four have been relatively few in number. Both the Human Torch and The Thing have featured in a handful of titles, most of those being team-up series with each other or with another Marvel hero or heroes. Mister Fantastic and Invisible Woman have also participated in a handful of team-up series, although none of them have been titular series. Relative to other Marvel heroes, and specifically to Marvel heroes who are also closely associated as being part of larger team, individual series starring just one member of the Fantastic Four are almost non-existent. For MCU fans, this seemingly odd circumstance of Marvel Comics publishing also makes collecting keys related to Marvel Studios' upcoming Fantastic Four (2025) that much easier, and we've gone through extra lengths to even improve upon that. Case in point: THE HUMAN TORCH #1 from cover date September 1974, starring the FF's very own JOHNNY STORM. This issue, of course, is notably the FIRST TITULAR APPEARANCE of the Fantastic Four's resident young hothead, with a cover by JOHN ROMITA SR that pits "Past Vs Present" embodied by the two Marvel heroes that have worn the mantle of the Human Torch. An Upper Mid-Grade beauty and a Newsstand Edition from the early Bronze Age, The Human Torch #1, available here in the hard-to-find grade of FN/VF (7.0), is what your collection deserves... today!
