Description: Very good condition softcover book titled "The Builders of Timberline Lodge." It is dated 1937. The building of Timberline lodge was a Portland, Oregon Works Progress Administation depression-era project. It is illustrated throughout with black and white block prints. The full-page prints are signed. The prints bordering both sides of the text pages are not signed. Among the signed prints are "Pouring Concrete" by Virginia Darce' "Mess Hall" by Martina Gangle "Wood Carvers" by Martina Gangle "Packing Supplies" by Virginia Darce' and "Placing Large Timbers" by H. S. Sewall The book measures 8-1/2" x 11" The final page in the book says "The preparation, publishing and distribution of this book was conceived by the Administrative staff, the text was written by the Writer's Project, and the drawings and illustrations prepared by the Art Project of the Oregon Works Progress Administration." Some wear along the stapled binding of covers. There is a horizontal stain in the title on the front cover below the word "BUILDERS." The back cover has two small stains at the staples. Slight vertical fold throughout. See scans. I have a liberal return policy.
