Description: This listing is for a custom, vintage True Temper Tommy Axe, on burnished American Hickory. This hatchet was restored and built in San Francisco, California at Stunner Blades Customs. This Tommy Axe was cleaned with natural steel patina left. The bit was reground and is very sharp. The handle was carved from American Hickory and fit by hand to the head. The handle was carved part octagonal for a sure grip. The handle was burnished with linseed oil and hard dark carnauba wax for a vintage feel and appearance. The head was wedged full with Yellow Poplar. The True Temper “Indian Design” label is a custom reproduction label. Total length of this hatchet is 15” with a total weight of 2 lbs 2.5 oz.
