Description: Vintage Large Brass Rubbing of Near-Life Size Images of Medieval Belgian Couple. This was made in the 1960's, while this was legal to do. (Preserving information from these brass plaque tomb coverings, using this rubbing methodology, slowly wore the detail of them down.) This, almost 4-feet in width by 8-feet in length, rubbing from a large brass tomb cover: appearing to be from a 13th to 16th Century "master of the citizens" or chairman of the town's executive council and his wife. The town master, or Burgermeister, is standing on what appears to be his favorite/loyal dog.
