Description: Here's a vintage earlier I believe to be a Choctaw tribe hand woven river cane lidded basket in reasonable condition consistent with age. This piece has diagonal design on sides and starburst designs on the top and bottom. This is a tightly woven piece having nice quality. I believe it was made at least 50 years ago or earlier. There is some distortion to one of the sides which I have not attempted to straighten as pictured. The lid fits decently and this basket displays nicely.
