Description: Gorgeous vase from Zanesville Stoneware Company of Zanesville, Ohio. American pottery made in USA. Ceramic stoneware pottery. Glazed in "Neptune" - blue-green mottled glaze with coppery-shimmery effects. Form #795. Marked 795 on bottom. 8.5" tall. Neptune 795 can be found on pages 99, 103, and 219 of the collectors' guidebook "Zanesville Stoneware Company: Identification & Value Guide" by Jon Rans, Glenn Ralston, and Nate Russell. No condition issues. No chips or cracks. Some small divots in glaze surface which are original to the manufacturing process. Three stilt marks visible on bottom of vase which are part of the manufacturing process. There is a remnant of a label on the bottom (probably not an original label but rather a collector's label). Has an Arts & Crafts style to it. I will ship this carefully and double-box the vase with enough space to add protection. This adds some extra weight and volume to the package which does not make a huge difference if you are near me on the East coast but if you are farther away the shipping could be significantly more than what it would be if I just single-boxed it. If you would like me to get you an estimate for shipping based on using only a single box, please let me know, but I think that for this special vase the extra protection is worth it.
